Birthday
Theme
A month before your birthday, we asked you what theme you
would like: Oui-oui or Babar. You both like the two actually,
you like watching Babar film and loves to sing Oui-oui's
songs. We decided on Oui-oui, simply b'coz Annikid.com offers
all we needed. |
|
Site's Front Page
The look of your site on your bday. A oui-oui banner on top,
a video of you singing happy birthday, the first animated
ecard you received, warm wishes on the tagboard, special notes
of thanks for those who greeted you. |
| |
Blog Entry
On March 27, 2006, you are the only entry in my blog. I was
thinking of writing something for your bday. But you caught
me by surprise singing for the very first time "happy
birthday to you". I was ecstatic. So here goes our dedication.

Your Guests
Much as Dadou and I wanted to invite all our friends, we couldn't
just accommodate all of them. So we made a hard decision to
just invite your little friends (and of course with their
papas & mamans). |
|
Mama's Birthday
Card & others
Days before your party we both were on a hunt for a Oui-oui
birthday card. We couldn't find any. I really wanted you to
have a oui-oui card where your guests can write on it. So
I made one for you! |
| |
Your Birthday
Yummies
This one was tough. It took me days to get my list final.
I needed something easy and quick to prepare which would cater
to nineteen different tastebuds. I'm not gifted in the kitchen,
you know. |
|
Your Birthday
Cake
Oui-oui cake is not available on the market. I thought of
making one I found on the internet but I couldn't find the
right ingredients and other things needed. Lola went to ask
three boulangeries if they could make one for you,
all said "non". |
| |
Your Gifts
Your family & friends showered you with lovely gifts.
You received books, clothes, mini-vacuum, train, dvds, a bike
and a remote-controlled blue car. Your friends helped you
opening the gifts and you were having a blast! |
|
Thank Yous
Your giveaways was a way to thank your little friends for
coming over. The following day, April 3, I sent all of them
emails thanking them for everything. I posted one in my blog
and here on your personal site. |

Captured Moments
You actually had a chaotic party which I guess
is good. At least it wasn't boring. But your first was more
organized (says me). Here are some of my favorite moments
on your two parties. |
|
Belated
We thank ninang: Nina, Jaina, Mercy, and
Leng, tita Jenny, tita Rochelle, tita Analyse and tita Makis
for the gifts and wishes.
Maraming-maraming salamat po! |

| Little
truths in bullets: |
| - I wanted you to wear a
Oui-oui costume on this day, but I couldn't find it (even
for the red top). I wonder how you would react to the photos
one day if I did make it. Would you say "Ma, you just
made me look ridiculous!"
- I didn't have enough time to cook all the food. I missed
out on the spaghetti (for your little friends and also pampahaba
raw ng buhay) and the tortang talong.
- I planned to actually make empanada on your party. I practiced
(that's highlighted) it on your very birthday (March 27)
but it took so long to cook for such a small dish so I crashed
it out from the April 2 party menu.
- Mathias and Alyzée were the first ones to arrive.
Mathias was also the first on your First birthday.
- Your youngest visitor is three months old. His name is
Alexandre.
- You weren't successfully able to blow your candle on this
day, but you did on March 27. On both days at those moments
you kept on saying "encore, encore!"
- Ninang Ana took a picture of you kissing Roxane on the
lips when you were both playing alone in the balcony. I
wonder what you were up to. Are you laughing now?
- You were so happy and excited on March 27. You knew it
was a special day for you. But on your party on April 2,
you were a bit intimidated by the crowd at the beginning.
Anyhow you loosened up as the party wore on.
- Mama and dadou forgot to serve coffee!!
- Kiddo, as far as I'm concern, you enjoyed your party.
You had two shares of your own cake, has plenty of gifts
and many friends sharing with you this special day.
- Oh, lastly, ahem, I did all the cooking, lola and dadou
did the last-minute groceries and well, cleaning up the
mess!
- And you were just adorable! (that's mama saying!)
