Milestones Chart - 2006
 
December Can completely sing "Petit Papa Noel", scared of Santa and men with beards.
First gastro, one whole week of being sick. Plenty of complete sentences, but mostly french. Very stubborn. Loves the animated film "cars".
November Says "je t'aime" a lot, lots of yelling, fights for what he wants, capable of singing complete french children songs. Right now, his favorite film is Top Gun. Got t nasty flu: fever, cold and cough during the last week of Nov.
October Names his school friends, shows what he learns at "school" like singing action songs. I saw him playing with a baby scooter. Talks a lot, vocalizing his imaginations and lots of pretend games with his stuff toys.
September Joins a play group, "halte garderie" and loving it. Has specific favorites games on the net, and knows all the buttons of the page.
August Uses the potty and toilet. Speaks more french coherently, travel to frejus, violent tempers. Capable of playing the computer, knows the function of the mouse.
July First time he said his name properly (it was during the Coupe du Monde). First time to ask to listen to music, which he said:"misik, misik" (12 July).
27 months (March 27) First nasty fall in the playground that resulted to a trip to the emergency hospital by the SAMU. The cut was glued.
26 months Second flight to Martinique. Enjoys swimming in the pool and can hold breath 2-3 seconds under water. Can now say elephant instead of "atay". Loves to sing a lot.
25 months Can basically imitate simple sentences. Vocalizing a lot of his imaginations. Another molar tooth on right.
1st wk of April (24 mos & 1 wk) Can make several short sentences in french: "Elle est là mama", c'est à moi ça", "non, ne touche pas", "fais doudou dadi", c'est cassé"...
29 March (24 months & 2 days) Says "water mama please".
28 March (24 months & 1 day) Says "please", asking me to lie down next to him for his nap.
25 March (24 months) For his "merci" he says "beaucoup". I try teaching him say "merci" and he says "beaucoup".
21 March (23 months & 3 wks) Fall in love with mammoth - Ice Age.
14 March (23 months & 2 wks) Names colors in french: rouge, vert, bleu et jaune. He says "c'est cassé" when something is broken. And goes "bien" for agreeing and sometimes "si si".
10 March (23 months & 1 week) He understands when mama and dadou are arguing. He calls me "neng, neng" then goes blah, blah with gesticulations imitating his dadou. Time for couple-argument censorship.
06 March (23 months & 1 week) First time to climb a narrow bridge for big kids in park Choisy. I wasn't comfortable letting him go since the bridge is way high for me to hold him, but he made a scenario so I let him. He was nervous but was giggling all the way through. Did it twice. Sings "bateau sur l'eau".
01 March (23 months) First time to fall asleep on the floor in front of tv. He woke up at 6 am and went low-bat around 9:30 am!
27 Feb (exactly 23 months) Spend so much time singing. He starts with the first three words then goes "la la la...". Gets the melody of "un petit train" and "oui, oui".
26 Feb (23 months) After a day of playing in the snow, we dined in a chinese resto (which was terrible), and as soon as David finished his food he said: "go, go!"
22 Feb (22 mos & 3 wks) Able to build 4-6 blocks and sorts them out by color. Says blue and verte(green). I was delightlfully surprised when he dismantled the blocks we built and he started rebuilding it by color.
21 Feb (22 mos & 3 wks) New words: "action, broken, shadow and look at". Gets horrified when he sees "shadow", the storyteller in Bear and the Big Blue House.
19 Feb (22 mos & 3 wks) Today he correctly managed to put his boots by himself.
3rd week Feb (22 mos & 3 wks) Current "surprised" expressions: "Oh God!" "Oh la la!" Loves to play with the computer (with help) esp. Barney's site. Learns the block-shapes: circle, triangle, square and star.
1st wk Feb (22 mos & 1 week) Blows waterbath and pours water on his head. Makes a growling sound to scare us off. Displays accurate facial expressions according to emotions: when I say happy - he smiles; sad-cry; angry-frown. Smiles to camera when asks to. He calls the cookie with a smiling face on it "api cookie".
January (22 months) Little manners: says bonjour (hello), au revoir (goodbye). Says manège (carousel), plane fly. I put out his bed barriers so that he can get off his bed on his own. Starting to understand the concept of waiting.
